Feline Lymphoma is the most common type of cancer in cats, accounting for almost 33% of cat cancers. While lymphoma in general is caused by the same cellular degradation and malfunction as all cancers, gastrointestinal lymphomas’ development may be preventable.
G.I. Lymphoma
GI Lymphoma in cats is often associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). IBD in cats is a group of gastrointestinal disorders that lead to an increase in the number of inflammatory cells found in the lining of the intestinal tract. Chronic vomiting and or diarrhea are the most common symptoms; at the time of diagnosis, the exact cause is often unknown. Unresolved food allergies and food sensitivities contribute to immune system dysfunction.
The increases in inflammatory cells that develop as a result of IBD have been directly linked to the development of GI lymphoma in cats. Chronic vomiting or diarrhea frequently go unnoticed, and at some point the resulting inflammation and scar tissue that develops in the lining of the intestine can transition to cancerous cells, leading to the development of lymphoma.
Veterinarians choose to treat IBD with steroids and other medications, whereas the natural approach uses Herbal anti-inflammatories, soothing agents, and soil-based probiotics (SBOs). The best way to prevent any GI disorder or disease is to make sure the GI tract has the benefit of SBOs on a regular basis.
If your cat is experiencing chronic diarrhea, vomiting or other stomach upsets, and has not responded to conventional treatment, he or she is at increased risk for developing GI lymphoma.
The Role of Good Bacteria
The foundation of a strong immune system is a healthy digestive environment. By providing your cat with SBO supplements, you can help prevent the development of lymphoma and cancer in your cats.
If your cat already has cancer, fortifying the immune system can be a powerful adjunct to traditional therapies, making them more effective, and thus increasing the cure rate of cancer in cats and thereby extending their lives.
The Royal Society of Medicine of Great Britain claims, “90% of all chronic disease is caused by an unhealthy intestinal system”. Clearly, improving gastrointestinal health stimulates the immune system. This also has a synergistic effect on improving your cats’ response to medical treatment, as well as their health. In addition, cats with cancer often develop vomiting and diarrhea as a direct result of the medication insult occurring to their body, which can further weaken their immune system.
Good bacteria, or “Probiotics” are essential to maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract. These healthy bacteria help your cat to digest more of the nutrients, fight disease, and normalize the digestive system. In times of stress or illness, the good bacteria in the gut die off quicker, upsetting the delicate balance between good and bad bacteria. This imbalance leads to your cat being predisposed to further illness, chronic vomiting and diarrhea, and a weakened immune system. By supplementing with a clinically proven soil-based probiotic product for cats will quickly restore the natural balance in your cat’s gut. A strong immune system is the best defense to fight and prevent disease.

My cat has been on prednisolone for a month due to suspected lymphoma or IBD. Aspirate biopsy and ultrasound were inconclusive. Also suffering from severe pancreatitis with loss of appetite, weight loss. He’s also on an appetite stimulant, pains meds and anti nausea. We’re tapering off the steroid now. What products do you recommend for suspected IBD/chronic severe pancreatitis/loss of appetite?
Hi Michelle.
I’m sorry to hear about your cat.
I would strongly recommend calling in to go over the complications of drugs and our products and optimizing results you could get, and also going over more details with me so I can give you the best recommendations.
In short, I would recommend the advanced immune restoration gold protocol.. this is a three-part protocol that helps a lot of cats against lymphoma.
I would not jump into using fenbendazole nor our herbal anti-inflammatory at the moment, before calling in. These are other helpful products that you can utilize.
I think that you would get a lot of benefit from the advanced immune restoration gold protocol, but there is more you could do.
There are no interactions with drugs, if you’re not using gabapentin anymore, which is inhibited by CBD oil.
Warmly
Robin
Hello, I have a 9 month old rescue kitten that has never had a normal stool since birth, always either explosive diarrhea or very loose, jelly like stool commonly mixed with mucus and some blood. He has been on live probiotics for 4 months, had 3 stool samples to rule out all parasites or other types of bacteria, and on a strict diet of Hills Science Digestive Kitten and regular Hills kitten kibble. He often wakes up in the morning and throws up, usually just clear liquid. I’m broke from this guy and my vet is at a loss as well. Talking about the fecal transplant option next. What should I do?
Hi Tina.
Sorry for your kitten.
I would get away from that prescription food because it’s full of chicken, by-products, and low quality grains. There are many other foods with limited ingredients, and try to choose one without any birds.
If the foods were helping you would have seen a difference already.
Sometimes changing food can correct the issue completely. Many cats have a sensitivity to any bird that was raised on a farm fed grain.
I would get the gastro prime combo for cats and experiment with the four products introducing one at a time slowly.
These address a lot of the underlying issues for possible indigestion.
Here’s a link to that combo.

There is a choice between beef liver and tuna flavor. I would choose the tuna if the kitten is a little finicky, but the beef liver is a superior ingredient for intestinal health.
Please call in or email us if you want more detailed information.

My male cat has had diarrhea for 3 weeks. Has had a diet change due to diarrhea and food allergies. I really need help. He is on steroids now. He has had his anal sacs suppressed 3 times.
Hi Lori.
It sounds like a complicated situation so I’d recommend you call in for a consult. If you have to choose once product, I would choose the lithothamnium seaweed powder. It is a simply constipating flavorless white powder to put into food. It is not therapeutic.
Here is a link.

If you want more therapeutic options for a longer term solution, I’d recommend the TRDV protocol.
It is a three pack of two liquid products in one powdered. It comes with instructions. I would get a small size.
Here’s a link to the combo.

Hi there – my almost 10 yr old cat has been vomiting and losing a lot weight for a couple of months. My vet has done a full GI ultrasound which is inconclusive, and his blood work is all normal. I started him on Farmina N&D Digetion cat food 5 days ago, and he is not vomiting and has more energy, and acting more like his old self. The vet emailed me and thinks he either has IBD or Lymphoma, and now wants to put him on prednisolone and Royal Canin digestion perscription food. I do not want to do that. I would rather keep him on this food and possibly give him some supplements. What do you think, and what supplements do you recommend?
Hi kathy!
I don’t think you should do what your vet recommends. Royal canin generally has very poor ingredients, and increases inflammation and food sensitivities that result in GI upset in my experience. Since you’re already on a better footing, I would not change. I would keep prednisolone on hand, but not use it now, and only use it if there’s an emergency where they are crashing, not eating, losing weight etc.
I would use the advanced immune restoration protocol for cats, to maintain digestive health and add anti-cancer benefits. It is a three-part protocol that is very good for preventing cancer from metastasizing and reduces symptoms.

Would you mind sharing which food you purchased? Did you buy wet and dry?
Site shows immune support is out of stock…and idea when/if it will be back in stock?
Hi Dana. The product that is out of stock is Herbal Anti inflammatory tincture. The other products, Celloquent and vital pet lipids, are in stock. I don’t know when we will have the tincture back on the shelf.
I would use the GI distress tincture instead of the herbal anti since the base ingredients of licorice and yucca are the same.
Warmly
Robin.
