Finding out your cat has a compromised immune system is a scary and often devastating diagnosis, especially if the cause is cat cancer. Thankfully, there are holistic treatments available that will help minimize the side effects of chemotherapy and toxic medications. Combining holistic choices for a cat’s compromised immune system with conventional cancer therapies should be part of any treatment.
What Is Cat Cancer?
Cancer in cats is due to a failure of the immune system to regulate cell growth. It can occur in any organ (liver, spleen, lungs, etc.), any area of the body (bones or mouth, for instance), or even in a part of the body in general (such as the chest cavity).
Under normal circumstances, healthy cells grow and divide. At the same time, the immune system routinely eradicates damaged or irregular cells (cancer cells). However, if a cat’s immune system becomes weak or stops functioning properly, the body fails to detect damaged cells. As a result, these cell grow and replicate. Eventually, the cat develops tumors — the result of the growth of damaged cells. The most common types of cat cancer are feline lymphoma, feline leukemia virus, feline mammary cancer, and feline skin cancer.
An Aggressive and Rapidly-Developing Disease
Cancer in cats can often go undetected for weeks or even months. As cancer is aggressive and develops rapidly, the time between the appearance of the first cancer cells and the diagnosis of the disease is often directly linked to survival rate.
Once Cancer Has Been Diagnosed
Close consultation with your holistic veterinarian can help you to select the right cancer treatment and cancer therapies for your cat and his situation. Depending on the type of cancer, the age and condition of your cat, and other important factors, treatments for cat cancers can range from surgically removing tumors or abnormal cell growth, chemotherapy and radiation therapy to isolate and destroy cancer cells, and medications to help slow tumor development, treat inflammation, and control pain.
Mainstream Western-Medicine Therapies for Cat Cancer
Although many mainstream western-medicine therapies can be successful in removing or shrinking tumors (at least temporarily), none of these feline cancer treatments address the underlying cause of cancer: a faulty or weakened immune system. In fact, some treatments (such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy) can cause significant damage to, or even destroy, an already fragile immune system.
Rebuilding a Cat’s Compromised Immune System
Since cancer results from the inability of the cat’s immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells, it makes sense that helping to rebuild and support a cat’s compromised immune system at the same time as providing conventional therapies is the key to successful cancer treatment.
Rebuilding the immune system of a sick cat requires a multi-faceted approach. You need to reduce the everyday toxins in your cat’s environment, such as contact with pesticides, cleaning products, and highly-processed cat foods.
Most commercial cat foods are highly processed, meaning that during production much of the nutritional value of the ingredients is lost. All cats — but especially those with cancer — can benefit by changing to naturally-prepared, organic cat food that is rich in nutrients and free from chemical preservatives. As cats with cancer often have a poor appetite, it is essential to continually offer your cat a variety of healthy foods to encourage him to eat.
Another thing to do is stop vaccinating while your cat is fighting cancer. Vaccines can be disruptive to the immune system.
If you don’t have one already, seek out a holistic veterinarian to receive a more holistic approach to cancer treatment. The vet will discuss diet and other alternative solutions with you.
We Can Help
In addition to providing essential nutrients through diet, supplements containing essential vitamins and minerals along with time-tested herbs can help to ensure that your cat has the strongest immune system possible to help fight his way back to health.
My 12-year-old cat, Walter, was just diagnosed with fibrosarcoma. Our vet described possible treatments of surgery and chemotherapy, but didn’t think it was the best option for him due to the placement of the tumor and his diabetes, which is well managed with weight loss and insulin injections, but which she said sometimes makes conventional treatments harder on the cat. Because of these factors, she thinks the treatments would be more traumatic than helpful. Therefore, we are looking at alternative treatments to make the time Walter has left the best it can possibly be. He seems to be as happy and well as ever, so we are optimistic that we can help him. We have already started transitioning him to a grain-free, high protein diet, and are looking for other options that might boost his immune system and slow the progression of the cancer.
We have successfully treated thousands of cats with a variety of immune related issues. “Successfully” means that almost all cat’s quality of life went way up, they looked and acted normally, and the cat lived way longer than the vet predicted. Depending on the circumstances, some cats got very very good results. But all cats benefitted.
Our strategy is to upgrade the food quality, stop all vaccines, eliminate the drugs and chemicals, and add in safe, natural food-based supplements that are scientifically proven to raise immune competence, that are beneficial for all animals, young or old, sick or healthy. Along with our email tech support, our strategy has been very successful in re-establishing normality.

(1) The Budwig Protocol: A combination of EFAs (essential fatty acids, such as those found in tuna oil) and methionine and cysteine, two sulfur bearing amino acids, Dr Budwig said this combination charged the cells like charging the two poles of a battery.
Over forty years, using this protocol, Dr. Budwig treated thousands of cancer patients in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. Her clinical success was and is undeniable.
(2) The mitochondria factor: The mitochondria are the energy power houses of the cells. Every cellular function depends on the mitochondria. When the mitochondria are depleted, diseases of all kinds develop, including cat cancer and cat lymphoma. When the mitochondria are operating optimally diseases and suffering are quickly reduced.
PQQ, Pyrroloquinoline Quinone, is the only substance known to stimulate the production of new mitochondria.
COQ 10 raises the energy levels of the mitochondria.
Together, these two supplements provide a quick and dramatic restoration of your cat’s energy levels.
(3) Modified citrus pectin is a unique and beneficial supplement made from orange peels. Amazingly, it keeps cancer cells from sticking together Cancer cells are sticky. When they are made slippery, the cancerous cells become easy targets for the immune system clean up crew.
(4) More nutritional super soldiers widely recognized for their immune system support: Arabinogalactan (Larch tree water soluble fiber), aloe vera (inner leaf), ascorbyl palmitate (fat soluble vitamin C), vitamin K2, zinc carnosine, bromelain, enzymes (full spectrum), spirulina, lactoferrin, Venus Flytrap, licorice, and yucca.

Hello – My soulmate, Greystone is a 13 year-old (estimated — he was a stray), FIV+ domestic shorthair who has just been diagnosed with lymphoma, with masses in his small intestine. On 2/10, I’d taken him to an emergency vet suspecting a resurgence of uterine crystals. They did find a few, Greystone was treated and improved.
Based on your previous responses, I suspect you will recommend the
However, over the past couple of weeks, he ate less and less, began hiding, and didn’t seem himself. On Saturday, an ultrasound by an internist revealed masses in the small intestine, which the internist said looked very aggressive and probably cancerous. Monday’s cytology report confirmed lymphoma, but the internist described the analyzed cells as “mildly” aggressive — two very different reports. The internist indicated that time was of the essence and advised immediate surgery to resect the small intestine, after which, the resected tissue could be extensively analyzed and specific chemotherapy protocol determined.
I had a consultation with the surgeon today and though I liked her a lot, I’ve been up all night trying to learn everything I can online to figure out whether immediate surgery is the right decision. The surgeon advised the insertion of a feeding tube, which she downplayed, but on top of the surgery, that seems like a lot to do to my dear feline friend. Case studies are all over the place: some do surgery and chemo and get another year or two. Some get more, some less. Some proclaim miracle cures. Universally, if left untreated, the cat dies very quickly. Right now, my guy seems OK. He is eating well and seems more like himself. But I know that treatment must be initiated immediately if he is to last the month.
Based on your previous responses, I assume you will recommend Advanced Immune Restoration. My question to you is: should I do the surgery as well? Last week, my cat seemed very uncomfortable. He was holding himself in a tense way, breathing was shallow, and he was hiding. He has lost about a pound over the last month. He seemed unable to produce bowel movements unless I gave him Laxatone, and in the last few days, those bowel movements were very odd in shape: like a flat mushroom or a manta ray. At his most uncomfortable, I became concerned that I would find him in crisis when I awoke from sleep. It makes logical sense that a mass that is creating blockage in his small intestine should be removed right away in order to allow for functionality of the digestive system and to minimize his discomfort. Without the removal of the seriously affected area, he may swiftly be in pain. I am concerned that we don’t have time to shrink these considerable masses, and had elected to do the resection surgery, then holistic remedies instead of or in addition to chemo.
What is your recommendation? I’m supposed to bring him in for surgery in an hour and a half. It would be possible for me to reschedule him to Monday, but they jumped through hoops to get him in today, due to the aggressiveness of the lymphoma.
What would you do if he were your cat?
Thank you kindly.
My life long rule on chemo versus holistic is “If the patient has a few months, always start with natural, safe and effective first.
Hi- our 10 year old cat was recently diagnosed with mammary cancer, she has a tumor and they said it has likely spread to her lungs. Our vet said surgery would not buy us much more time with her, and that she likely has less than 3 months. Do you have any recommendations?

Any tips for making the Celloquent more palatable for a kitty who turns away from his food when the Celloquent is mixed in? Mixing it with water in a syringe is proving too stressful for my little guy, who just recovered from both a biopsy surgery and within three weeks a hernia repair after the initial surgical stitches failed to hold. So he’s stressed, newly healed from surgery, and his psychological state is fragile and I would rather “fool” him into eating the stuff rather than shove one more syringe into him. Thanks for any tips!
Im glad you have received the product and you are ready to start giving it to her. The most important thing is that you get it into her as much as possible. I have some tips for finicky cats. If she is not eating it in the food you can mix it with water and suck it up in the syringe and give it to her orally and slowly.
You can mix it with tuna water (if she likes tuna) and see if she will eat it that way.
You can make it into a paste and put it on the roof of her mouth.
Here are some more tips for you and your cat:
Tricks To Get Very Finicky Cats To Eat What They Do Not Like
For very finicky cats, even when they will not touch our supplements, try Forti Flora or Proviable powder as a taste enhancer. They are both widely available probiotics (Amazon and many others) with a taste that is irresistible to most cats. The fact that they are also probiotics is regardless of their power to convince cats to eat whatever else is associated with them.
Try putting some catnip herb on the food. Meowijuana (spray bottle) is a very effective brand of catnip.
Try using a little canned tuna or tuna juice.
Try Kitty Kaviar (a fish extract available from Amazon)
If you are only feeding dry, try mixing powders into coconut oil and putting on food.
Mix some of any one or several of these products into their food along with our supplements. Experiment with amounts. Start with a tiny amount. Almost all cats find at least one of these products irresistible and will eat our products when mixed with these.
If nothing else works, you are left with syringing the cat. Mix a little liquid into the dry material to make a slurry. Wrap cat in a towel. Carefully inject slurry into the side of cat’s mouth so that the material is swallowed and not inhaled.
Humbly asking for your advice…my cat just had mastectomy and a lumpectomy today, and the vet suspects cancer. Not sure what protocol to follow, but have ordered stainless steel bowls and gotten distilled water. Don’t know what to feed her, and whether I should give her curcumin and essential oils, cbd, fenben, etc. I would greatly welcome your comments…thanks so much.
Our Advanced Immune Protocol has helped thousands of cats with life threatening immune issues.
